Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day and Kung Hee Fat Choy!! I know I'm a day behind but better late then never, right? It's been a while since I created and posted anything, so hopefully I will get back into the swing of things soon.

A couple of my girlfriends thought it would be fun to create Valentine cards for each other. It was a quite a challenge for me since it was such short notice and I am a little rusty too...LOL The deal was to have it mailed out so that we all would receive them by Valentine's.

This is the card that I received from my GF
Irene. I love The Greeting Farm images. They are just adorable. Besides being busy, the other reason why I haven't been crafting much is because of my coloring. I started using Copic markers recently and I suck! I've been throwing away soo many images because I keep screwing them up. Luckily Irene's been patient enough to show me how it's done. So slowly I'm getting my practice in ^_^ I love her card! It's so precious. I think this is a gatefold card and gotta love the pop up butterfly.

This is the card that I created for Irene. The image is from CC Designs Swiss Pixies called Liesel and her wheelbarrow. This image is so cute! I used copics to color, SU! CS and ribbon and dew drops from Tamiko's

This next card was made from my GF Anela. Again, images from The Greeting Farm. Did I miss the part of having a boy and a girl along with the theme or was it just a coincidence...LOL

Finally this is the card that I made for Anela using images from Pink Cat Studio called Lily and Billy Sweethearts. Because I was running out of time, I needed to make something simple, but wanted to try something different. So this is what I came up with. CS and ribbon from SU! and I used my CB embossing border for the first time and even tried to add a hint of color using ink to match the ribbon.

Thank you ladies for these wonderful cards! I think this will help put me back into gear. Let see....

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

June Aloha RAK

Hello blog land! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Fourth of July! I actually attended a wedding that evening at the Hale Koa Hotel. During the reception we got a little break and a group of us walk down to the beach and watched the fireworks going off at Magic Island. It was a beautiful evening and watching the fireworks on the beach was magical.
On to the card...this card was made for my June Aloha RAK hosted by Jen. If you've never played before, then you should seriously think about it. Sign up for July is already closed, but keep on a look out for next month. Jen always tries to make things fun. So instead of going out to buy stuff on top off your card, she has these challenges. For example, for the month of May it was to include min. 5 stamped images that was different from the image you used on your card. For the month of June, it was to include approx. 20 flowers to go with your card. Of course you could send whatever you what, but it's pretty fun to meet the different challenges too =)
For the month of June I'm RAKin Joni H. I know her favorite color is blue, so for this card I wanted to try colors different from my norm with a touch of blue. I hope you like it Joni!
Here's a close up...I wanted to show off the glitter used on the outer part of her wings. This image is so cute! Speaking of image, this image was shared with me by Teri. Thanks Teri!
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Flutter Anya (TGF)
Paper: Old Olive, More Mustard, Whisper White and Patterns Pack DSP II in Brocade Blue (all SU!)
Ink: Momento, SU! Markers
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Grossgrain (SU!), Crafters' Tool Kit (SU!), Flowers (??) and Dew Drops (Tamiko's)

My RAKr was Dawne. If you haven't checked out her blog yet you should. She's got a lot of cute card creations and lots of yummy looking food too! I wish I could cook like that =P Anyhow, Dawne was so sweet in sending me a super duper cute card. I think the image used is from The Greeting Farm called Wonderland. So cute! I wish the picture could do it justice. Lots of glitter and dew drops and the embossing is so beautiful. I got a bunch of Flower Bear images from Dustin Pike. And a bunch of flowers along with other goodies. Thanks so much Dawne! I will put them to good use.

Here's a close up shot to show all the dew drops and glitter used and the pretty embossing for the background.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Irene!

OMG...as I'm doing the final edit of this post the power decides to shut down and I almost had a meltdown. Yikes! Thank you for auto safe. Wheew... Anyways back to the post....

Last Friday a group of us went out to have dinner to celebrate my GF Irene's birthday. We had a lot fun catching up and the Thai food was so delicious.
I made this cute little "simple card holder" that Teri taught us as an added bonus after her pop-up scrapbook class back in May. This holder is so cute and so easy to make. If I can do it, then anyone can...LOL Teri has a tutorial for it here. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow.
The image is from The Greeting Farm and this cutie is called Fairy Tink. I had ordered some images, but I didn't get them yet so Teri was so kind to stamp some for me. Thanks Teri!
Instead of putting cards in the holder, I filled it with some crafting goodies. I hope she likes it =)

This is a bad close up shot of Fairy Tink, but I wanted her to seem like she was flying with dimensionals. What do you think?

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Fairy Tink (TGF)
Paper: Kraft CS and Parisian Breeze DSP (SU!)
Accessories: Stickles, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets (SU!), Chocolate Chip Grossgrain Ribbon (SU!) and Dimensionals (SU!)
Image was colored with SU! markers

This is the birthday card I made for her using the same image. I finally pulled out my Big Shot and took it out of the box. And even got to use my new CB embossing folder too.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Fairy Tink (TGF)
Paper: Pixie Pink CS, Basic Gray CS
Accessories: Whisper White Satin Ribbon (SU!), Large Oval Punch and Oval Scallop Punch (SU!), flowers, Swiss Dot Embossing Folder (CB), Dazzling Diamond (SU!) and Dew Drops (Tamiko's)

Thank you for stopping by!
